Shoes: We encourage men to acquire their own shoes prior to the Walk (available for only $15 at Hip Replacements at 72 North Lexington Avenue), we will have a limited number available for rental for $5 though we cannot guarantee sizes.

Registration (coming soon): Registration fee is only $10; Individuals and Teams can register online.

Donations and Fundraising (coming soon):Walkers are asked to raise funds and can personalize a fundraising page online at FirstGiving.

Tax Information: Registrations are not tax deductible but all donations are – individuals donating over $10 will receive tax receipt information via email. All proceeds go to support Our VOICE (Federal Tax ID # 58-1491531.

T-Shirts: All walkers raising $100 or more will receive a Walk a Mile t-shirt and can pick them up on the morning of the Walk.

Awards: The coveted “Red Shoe” award will be awarded to the team who raises the most donations and goes above and beyond (Walking the Extra Mile); the individual who raises the most donations (The Highest Heel); the individual who crosses the finish line first; the individual who is the Most Spirited (Most Pumped!); and the team that crosses the finish line first (all together).

What to Bring: We encourage walkers to bring signs to carry while they walk and dress alike if part of a team (this is a great opportunity to show the community that your business is taking a stand against sexual violence).

Parking: Metered spaces are available on Patton Avenue and throughout downtown Asheville; parking garages are also available. There will be a limited number of spaces in the City/County lot though there are wheelchair accessible spaces available.
